Congratulations to Craig Corfield, who guessed the exact weight of our Giant Pumpkin. 227 pounds. Next closest gusss was 225 by Judy Gannon and Ed Nielsen. Nice try. Craig won a Double Belly Buster Pizza Party for 20 people. Craig's guess for the small pumpkin in case of a tie was 119 lbs., only 8lbs. above the actual weight of 111.

In the kids contest to win a Halloween Goodie Bag, the winner was Karen Espinosa, who guessed 225 lbs for the Giant Pumpkin and 115 for the small pumpkin. That's just 2 pounds under and 4 pounds over for a total weight difference of 2 lbs. Great Job Karen.

Construction has started

The plumbers have finally started to replace a section of our main line that runs out to the sewer. The bad news is that they are demolishing our bathrooms and it's going to take a month or more until the job is finished.

The good news is that we will end up with brand new ADA compliant bathrooms. So bear with us and excuse the mess until the job is finished.

Other promotions

The next contest is under way. Just guess the number of M&M's in our Glass Pumpkin and win a pizza party for 20 people. There is also some money in the jar. Guess the amount of money as a tiebreaker.

Kids 12 and under can enter a separate contest to win the jar of candy and money. Be sure to check it out next time you're in.

Thanksgiving cards are going out in the mail to our top 500 customers. So if you don't get one, just ask at the register. We will have extras until they run out. It's also that time of year to pass out RED NO PEEKING ENVELOPES. Beginning November 1st, we are giving out 2500 Red Gift Envelopes to our customers. Each envelope is sealed and can't be opened until you return between December 19th and January 31st.
Each envelope will contain one of five prizes: 15% off, 20% off, 30% off, 50% off or a $30 gift certificate.
