Undoubtedly Pizza and Pipes has the BIGGEST pumpkin in Santa Clara and maybe in the whole valley. How big is it? Well that's a good question, the answer could win you a pizza party for 20 people, complete with pizzas, softdrinks, balloons and more. Just come by and give us your best guess of how much our monster pumpkins weigh.
Need a clue? OK, when we wrestled the biggest pumpkin out of the pizza van and onto a dolly. One of the wheels on the dolly immediately blew out. It took four strong pizzamakers to lift the pumpkin from the dolly to the table. Luckily the table held the weight!
Don't forget Friday the 13th is our spooky party night. Beginning at 8 o'clock we have four bands playing. So bing a friend and enjoy some local talent at Pizza and Pipes, your party place.

Where did these big boys come from, you ask? Well, I drove to Half Moon Bay, home of the giant pumpkin weigh off. I found a local wholesaler who sent me to to some guy's house, down the road. That guy had six monster pumpkins which had just been picked by local farmers, on pallets in his side yard. He got out a portable electronic field scale and after rejecting the first one we weighed, I settled on the second one. It took five of us to get it in the van.
